If you are one of the many online casino players who have previously claimed a casino bonus, and due to you breaching some of the terms and conditions that always come attached to such bonuses, then help may finally be at hand.
In the UK the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) have announced that they intend to take action against any and all UK Gambling Commission licensed casino sites, both online and mobile sites as well as any other gambling site that has had, in their opinion, an unfair set of terms and conditions attached to their bonus offers!
Hundreds of complaints have been sent into this new regulatory authority in regards to online gamblers having had winnings voided after having claimed a bonus, and it would appear that the CMA are not particular happy about play through requirements.
When you do claim any type of casino bonus you are first required to read through often pages upon pages of terms and conditions and then agree to each of them before your bonus credits are awarded to you.
A set of play through requirements are always attached to such offers, and those play through requirements will tell you just how many times in total you are required to play through bonus funds before they are turned into real money credits.
However, it would appear that then puts a player in a position whereby they are unable to make a withdrawal or either their deposited amount and/or their bonus funds at any time, which is something the CMA have decided is not fair.
As such they are inviting anyone who has been put in such a situation before to contact them in additional to the 800+ people who already have done so and they will then make an official ruling in regards to the way that bonuses are to be advertised in future and how any licensed casino sites are to rectify this problem regarding historic voiding of casino bonuses.
On the face of it what they have so far said is that a player should be able to have the decision of being able to cash out their bonus funds and any amount they deposited at any time and not be forced to have to keep on gambling often for hours before their bonus funds and/or deposited amount can be withdrawn.
This shock announcement will of course be music to the ears of anyone who has had a bonus confiscated in the past, for there is a good chance they may get those funds returned to them dependent on how the Competition and Markets Authority decide to act.
In future, if you are a casino game player or an online gambler in general and you are based in the UK you are likely to see some much fairer bonuses being made available to you, possibly bonuses and promotional offers that will require you to play through your bonus funds just once before you can cash them out, and you may also see you being able to cash out your deposit at any time, irrespective of whether you have claimed a bonus or not!
